The packaging notebook
Mailer Boxes vs Shipping Boxes
Choose the opening experience and protection your delivery needs.
Compare the structure
A folding mailer typically opens with a hinged lid and tucked sides. A shipping carton generally closes with flaps and tape. The board and construction matter more than the name.
Think about fulfillment
Consider packing time, closure and the empty space around the product. A presentation box may still need a protective outer carton.
Brief for the real journey
Include packed weight, fragility and destination. Ask for a sample and discuss transit testing for the finished pack.
